Mortgage Processor II
About the role
K. Hovnanian American Mortgage is seeking a Processor to assist in the loan processing and closing process for homebuyers in designated builder communities. This role involves collecting, following up, and reviewing required documentation to ensure the smooth closing and sale of loans.
Responsibilities
- Collect, follow up, and review required documentation according to guidelines of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and VA to facilitate closing and sale ability of the loan.
- Update files 45-60 days prior to closing.
- Prepare the file for final underwriting, pre-closing, and evaluate all conditions of approval from the underwriting department.
- Maintain communication with borrower, builder, and assigned team to facilitate high customer service levels.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of mortgage experience.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with real estate and mortgage terminology is helpful.
- Government loan experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, and math skills are essential.
