Responsibilities

• Sends out closing instructions to closing agents and prepares closing disclosures.
• Funds loans based on instructions from Mortgage Loan Officers.
• Accepts lock requests from Mortgage Loan Officers and locks loans with investors.
• Gathers, verifies, and compiles application information for a mortgage loan, ensuring all documentation meets established guidelines.
• Acts as a liaison between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and loan closers.
• Collects required documents from applicants and follows up on missing items.
• Orders and reviews appropriate documents to ensure all paperwork is complete for loan processing.
• Checks data programs for accuracy and completeness of information.
• Accepts lock requests from MLOs, reviews for compliance with current pricing models, locks loans with investors, and obtains management approval for variances if needed.
• Works with MLOs to handle expiring locks, extensions, modifications, and requests changes with investors.
• Reviews closing packages and registers loans with appropriate investors.
• Prepares loan funding and sends it to accounting, entering wire information into Jack Henry.
• Ensures all departmental documents and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of mortgage processing experience preferred
• Experience in closing, processing, or shipping mortgage loan files is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write simple correspondence
• Basic computer skills in MS Office programs
