Mortgage Loan Originator (Bellevue)

Job Summary/Responsibilities

• Assists new and potential loan applicants with navigating the mortgage loan process.
• Secures loan file financial documents from potential borrowers.
• Analyzes loan file data and consults with prospective borrowers to educate them on varying loan products.
• Works closely with loan processors and underwriters to ensure the mortgage loan application meets regulatory and financial institution guidelines for lending.
• Originate and evaluate mortgage loans according to company guidelines and standards.
• Review the loan process by monitoring loan status, term conformity, and regulatory guidelines.
• Interact with customers, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Show good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Education/Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Secondary education preferred.
• Mortgage origination experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Sitting for extended periods.
• Required to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
• Required to reach, kneel, bend, and stoop as necessary.
