Responsibilities
- Making sales calls on realtors, builders, and other relevant parties to solicit mortgage loans and cross-sell services.
- Interviewing loan applicants to document income, debt, credit history, employment, and other pertinent information.
- Requesting and reviewing necessary documents such as tax returns, W-2s, purchase agreements, and other required forms.
- Determining if applicants meet established standards or identifying additional information needed for further consideration.
- Analyzing financial information, including tax returns.
- Informing applicants of all costs and closing fees associated with the loan request.
- Submitting completed loan applications and supporting documents to loan processing for loan initiation.
- Contacting applicants to resolve discrepancies such as derogatory credit or unlisted debts.
- Informing loan applicants of loan approval or denial.
- Participating in all scheduled meetings as directed by management.
- Communicating openly and honestly with all bank associates, including management and clients.
- Maintaining production goals set by management on a monthly basis.
- Attending loan closings.
- Understanding and adhering to all bank and government regulations, rules, policies, and procedures, including operations and compliance.
- Representing the bank in community activities to develop and maintain client contact and referral relationships.
- Engaging in personal development activities such as BAI courses and internal/external training to support career growth.
Requirements
- Computer knowledge in a Windows environment and proficiency with a mouse.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to review and understand various resources and information, including financial data.
- Proofreading and verifying written materials.
- Reading and processing written and numerical information.
- Operating a computer keyboard and adding machine.
- Reading alpha and numeric information on a computer monitor screen.
- Working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- Three years of commissioned lending experience.
Skills
- Ability to analyze financial information.
- Proficiency in reviewing and understanding various resources and information.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay
The starting pay rate is based on experience with a minimum hourly rate of $12.28.
Schedule
Department hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though flexibility to meet the schedule needs of clients is crucial for this role.
