Mortgage Loan Officer

Responsibilities and Duties

• Originate loans for department production.
• Promotes lending department and generates new business relationships.
• Maintains compliance with State and Federal regulatory agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of sales and marketing practices and principles.
• Knowledge of the secondary market, agency loan products and guidelines.
• Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.
• Skills in completing and analyzing loan applications, credit reports, and appraisals.
• Ability to multi-task and function as a team player.
• Ability to type with high speed and accuracy.
• Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of secondary market mortgage loan underwriting experience required.
