About the Role

We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Closing Coordinator committed to contributing to the organization's profitability by reviewing all closing documentation prior to the closing date to ensure accuracy and compliance. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while conducting business with integrity and in a highly ethical manner.

  • Hold team members accountable for timely completion of documentation or process steps

Responsibilities

  • Review all upcoming closings to ensure timely completion
  • Begin working on loan files upon receipt of title documents from the title company
  • Update the loan origination system with data needed to prepare closing documents
  • Review title documentation and coordinate with title companies and Loan Officers (LOs) to prepare preliminary closing disclosures, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery
  • Create the closing package and ensure prompt delivery to the title company (packages sent through a Hybrid E-closing system)
  • Ensure closing disclosures are compliant and accurate before distribution by Mortgage Loan Officers
  • Analyze all closing files for compliance, underwriting, and accuracy using approved checklists
  • Manage checklists to follow up on outstanding findings and ensure corrections are made prior to loan closing
  • Maintain a tracking list of errors found during the process to assist in evaluating loan production associates

Requirements

  • Experience in the mortgage industry (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to use sensory skills (e.g., verbal communication) to interact effectively with associates and customers
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (e.g., typing, writing) to operate office equipment (e.g., computer, calculator, copier)
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25 lbs unassisted
