Mortgage Loan Closer at Barrett Financial
About the role
The Mortgage Loan Closer plays an important part in our Mortgage Operations team and ensures every loan moves smoothly from Clear to Close to the Funding Department. In this role, you’ll balance Final Closing Disclosures with settlement agents, prepare closing packages, and verify accuracy within our LOS.
Responsibilities
- Review all submitted loan documentation and invoices for completeness and accuracy
- Request and collect missing data or documents when needed
- Balance fees and final numbers with settlement agents
- Prepare and coordinate all final loan documents required for closing
- Ensure all closing documents are accurate and submitted within required timelines
- Update the LOS to reflect final loan terms, fees, and status
- Distribute closing documents to borrowers, loan officers, real estate agents, escrow, and title companies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, TRID requirements, and investor guidelines
- Collaborate with the Funding Team to support an on-time and accurate funding
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of mortgage closing or funding experience
Strong understanding of TRID and general mortgage compliance guidelines
Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Clear and professional communication with internal and external partners
Experience with ARIVE LOS or similar platforms preferred
Experience with UWM LOS preferred
Knowledge of correspondent or non-delegated loans is a plus
