About the role
FAR Inspections is seeking experienced independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Contractors enjoy a flexible schedule and can earn full-time or supplemental income.
Responsibilities
- Complete inspections within 4 days after assignment.
- Report on property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
- Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
- Fill out a short form in an app.
- Drive for extended periods, making multiple stops throughout the day.
Requirements
- Computer with internet access.
- Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
- Printer.
- Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.
Pay and Hours
- This is a 1099 position.
- Each inspection has a flat rate, which varies based on county and volume.
- Earnings range from $20-$30 per hour, depending on volume and location.
- Work varies from 2-30 hours per week, with 20-500 inspections per month.
