Mortgage Field Services Inspector

About the role

HERE OnlyFAR Inspections is seeking experienced individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors can earn a predictable full-time or supplemental income and benefit from a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
• Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in an app.
• Be able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Computer with an internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.

Pay and Hours

• This is a 1099 position.
• Each inspection has a flat rate which varies based on county and volume.
• You will earn the equivalent of $20-$30 per hour.
• The work is consistent month-to-month, with earnings potentially increasing as you become more established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory.
• No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
