Mortgage Field Services Inspector

About the role

FAR Inspections is seeking experienced independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Contractors enjoy a flexible schedule and the opportunity to earn predictable full-time or supplemental income.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections within 4 days after assignment.
• Report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Fill out a short form in an app.
• Make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
• Drive and make multiple stops in the assigned territory for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• Computer with internet access.
• Reliable vehicle (with good gas mileage).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.

Pay and Hours

• This is a 1099 position.
• Rates vary based on county and volume.
• Earn $20-$30 per hour depending on volume and location.
• Work 2-30 hours per week, with a range of 20-500 inspections per month.
