Mortgage Field Services Inspector

About the role

FAR Inspections is seeking experienced independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Contractors can earn predictable full-time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections within 4 days after assignment.
• Report on property conditions using a mobile application.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Fill out a short form in an app.
• Drive for extended periods, making multiple stops in the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Computer with internet access.
• Reliable vehicle (with good gas mileage preferred).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.

Pay and Hours

• This is a 1099 position.
• Each inspection has a flat rate, which varies based on county and volume.
• Earnings range from $20-$30 per hour, depending on volume and location.
• Work 2-30 hours per week, with anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month.
• No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
