About the role

This is a remote opportunity to work from home. Remote work applicants may not work from California.

This role focuses on important administrative tasks that will support the expeditious movement of mortgage loans from sales through closing, resulting in an overall positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project task, including assigning tasks, ordering tasks, and weekly follow-up of all outstanding documents.
• Maintain acceptable turn times on new tasks.
• Document detailed notes in the system when a task is “touched”.
• Review preliminary documents to determine project review type.
• Communicate with underwriter and processor regarding possible discrepancies on documents being requested.
• Verify the project has not been declined by investors.
• Understand what makes a project ineligible and notify the manager of any potential issues.
• Upload applicable documents to an outside vendor and upload final documents from the vendor.
• Respond to emails with turn times as dictated in Project Procedures.
• Call HOAs, Management Companies, and Insurance Agents to request needed documents for the loan file.
• Review documents to confirm receipt of all required information and call for updates on missing items.
• Responsible for additional assignments as management deems necessary for the department.

Requirements

• Mortgage experience preferred, but not required.
• Self-driven, starter, and task-oriented.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexible to changes in the department as it grows.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong technology skills.
• High-speed internet required for remote work: Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).

Pay

The total annual compensation for this position ranges from $40,000 - $50,000.
