Morning Team Member

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver brand promises.
• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp‑mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct locations.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications, when required.
• Deep clean key areas of the store—including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high‑traffic zones—to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
• Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in line with the organization’s vision and values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
• Other duties as assigned, which may include:
  • Providing a fast and friendly checkout experience and executing cash‑handling standards.
  • Engaging customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completing enrollments.
  • Assisting with omni‑channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup In‑Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participating in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
  • Supporting shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.

Requirements

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Applicants must satisfy all federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment.
• Ability to perform essential job functions; reasonable accommodations available through an interactive process with the supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

The role is performed in a public retail store setting with climate‑controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled. Occasional outdoor work may be required for retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Employees use standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.

Pay

Base pay range: $12.00 – $13.80 per hour. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.
