Morning Shift Lifeguard

About the role

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, this position is responsible for guarding the pool during the opening shift (opening hours start at 5:45AM Monday - Friday), ensuring the safety of all patrons, enforcing pool rules, and implementing the branch emergency protocols as needed. *Must have active Lifeguard Certifications. (ex. YMCA, Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Prevent emergencies by scanning the pool in a continuous and consistent manner.
• Recognize emergencies or potential incidents and address them immediately.
• Know and activate the branch and pool EAP when needed.
• Perform assists or rescues as needed.
