Morning Server

About the role

As a Morning Server at Society 1854 located in the Omaha Marriott Downtown, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest, providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner to ensure a superior level of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Understand the menu, including ingredients and preparation of dishes, as well as the service expected to accompany each dish.
• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks, including restocking and replenishing condiments.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• High-level knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Ability to handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
• Ability to work a POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion and move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
