Responsibilities

• Present a positive image of PJ's to customers and coworkers
• Proactively suggest new beverages, drink enhancements, snacks, and pastries to improve the overall customer experience and knowledge
• Prepare all beverages and food to meet PJ’s Coffee specifications and customer satisfaction
• Ensure the store offers excellent customer service through staff operation and physical upkeep
• Follow cash handling procedures accurately
• Maintain the interior and exterior of the store to meet sanitary, safety, and aesthetic requirements using daily shift checklists and par levels
• Alert management to operational needs, equipment failure, and necessary improvements
• Enforce and abide by company policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Attend training sessions to increase coffee knowledge and work skills, and apply that knowledge to operations

Qualifications

• Barista experience is okay, but not required (training provided)
• Available and reliable to work opening shifts between 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM, including weekends
• Outgoing and engaging personality
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to problem-solve and engage with a team
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to communicate through various channels, including email, phone, project management software, and conference calls

Pay

Starting at $12 per hour + tips (averages $15-18/hour).

Schedule

Shifts between 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM, including weekends.
