About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) is a leading provider of interpreting services, established in 1996. CLI serves thousands of organizations across the country, assisting them in communicating with Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers.

Responsibilities

• Provide over-the-phone interpretation services for a variety of industries including insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service, and state courts.
• Interpret in a wide range of medical and non-medical contexts.
• Set your own schedule and work from home using CLI's online portal or landline telephone to log on and off.
• Interpret for clients who require service 24/7.
• Be available to interpret at any time during your scheduled shifts.

Requirements

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States (SSN or EIN and Photo ID required).
• Must reside in the United States.
• Experience in interpreting is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in the language(s) you will be interpreting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and confidentiality.

Pay

Payment is on a per-minute basis, with interpreters paid for every minute spent on the phone interpreting. Payments are issued twice a month, on the 15th and last day of the month, via direct deposit.
