Mood Disorder Mental Health Nurse - RN

About the role

As a Registered Nurse at Tucker Pavilion of Chippenham Hospital, you will coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team. The role emphasizes advocacy, compassionate care, and adherence to state and specialty practice standards, using nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document care administration in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic treatment plan that promotes recovery.
• Serve as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to coordinate ongoing care for specialized patient groups.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• RN diploma.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Non‑violent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date.

Pay

Hourly wage estimate: $32.14 – $48.20 per hour. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range; actual salary may vary based on skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
