Monteur Technische Dienst

ManagementFull-time

About the role

We are always looking for skilled technicians—whether your expertise lies in mechanics, electronics, or sensor technology. With over 70 production lines and more than 2,200 machines, no two days are the same. Each day brings new technical challenges, variety, and satisfaction. Today, you might resolve a breakdown; tomorrow, you could perform preventive maintenance or contribute to smart improvements. This keeps your work engaging and enjoyable!

A typical day as a technician starts in your overalls—you might get a call right away about a centrifuge issue on the butter lettuce line. You ensure the line runs smoothly again. After a quick handover from the previous shift, you begin scheduled maintenance. Midday, a new report comes in: a sensor is no longer detecting fruit trays. You dive in and fix it. Mission accomplished! Together with your colleagues, you celebrate successes, support each other, and work with strong team spirit. You’re never alone here.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and checks on machinery;
  • Coordinate planning and priorities with the technical team leader;
  • Resolve breakdowns reported by operators, following Vezet’s safety and hygiene rules and procedures;
  • Quickly diagnose the cause of breakdowns and assess whether production must be halted for safety reasons;
  • Record completed work in our Maximo registration system;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm and implement modifications and improvements.

Requirements

  • Completed an MBO-level 3 education, preferably in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics;
  • Basic knowledge of NEN 3140 (or willingness to learn);
  • Customer-focused, proactive, and eager to help others.

Skills

  • Precision: You ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, on time, and without errors;
  • Quick decision-making: You know when to act immediately and when to pause production;
  • Service-oriented: Whether it’s an operator or team leader, you always support your internal customers;
  • Quality-conscious: You work with an eye for quality, essential for us and our products;
  • Calm under pressure: You stay composed when a line stops and solve problems professionally;
  • Driven: You strive to bring out the best in yourself and your team every day;
  • Flexible: No day goes as planned, but you adapt effortlessly;
  • Initiative: You spot opportunities for improvement and proactively address them with colleagues.

Benefits

  • An engaging, dynamic role for 32–40 hours per week;
  • Gross full-time monthly salary between €2,855.82 and €4,039.24 (excluding irregularity allowance);
  • 25 vacation days and 9.5 ADV days (based on a full-time contract);
  • Good pension plan, travel expense reimbursement, and an end-of-year bonus;
  • Access to internal training to support your development;
  • Unlimited access to OpenUp: an online platform for personal growth, well-being, and inspiration, including guidance from psychologists and lifestyle experts;
  • Membership in a friendly, competent, and hardworking team;
  • Discounts on gym memberships and supplementary health insurance;
  • An attractive company restaurant where you can enjoy healthy, delicious meals daily at a great price.

Schedule

As a breakdown technician, you’ll work varying shifts, including days and evenings. At Koninklijke Vezet, we produce every day of the year, including holidays. You’ll have your own schedule within standard working hours and a fixed workplace.
