Our Associate Teachers play a key role in Montessori classrooms, cultivating high-quality learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, preschool, and Kindergarten-aged students (birth through 6 years old). This full-time position works alongside trained Montessori Teachers as part of a teaching team to deliver on our mission of developing a lifelong love of learning.
Responsibilities
- Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained Montessori teachers and work as part of a teaching team.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy.
- Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed.
- Engage in positive redirection of children and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health and care of students.
Requirements
- Minimum: CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development, or a related field.
- Love of children and past experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education.
