About the role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Montessori Teacher to join our team. This is a full-time position that works alongside trained Montessori Teachers to deliver on our mission to develop a lifelong love of learning in our students.
Responsibilities
- Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained, Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers;
- Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy;
- Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed;
- Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment;
- Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health, and care of students.
Requirements
- Minimum Required: CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework;
- At least 18 years of age;
- Prior experience in childcare, daycare or early childhood education is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development) is preferred but not required.

- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to work well in a team setting;
- Positive attitude and ability to engage with children and families.
