Montessori Assistant Teacher- Primary
About the role
We are currently seeking an Associate Montessori Teacher to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact on the lives of young students.
Responsibilities
- Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers;
- Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy;
- Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed;
- Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment;
- Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health and care of students.
Requirements
- Minimum Required CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework;
- At least 18 years of age;
- PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development).
