About the role
The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team.

Requirements
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or current Mercy coworker status
- Completion of a monitor tech course and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure
Qualifications
- Preferred experience but not mandatory
- PREFERRED: CRAT certification
