Monitor Technician - Full Time Days

About the role

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or current Mercy coworker status
  • Completion of a monitor tech course and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam
  • Basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure

Qualifications

  • Preferred experience but not mandatory
  • PREFERRED: CRAT certification
