Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or 1-year relevant work experience
- Successful completion of Arrhythmia recognition and interpretation training prior to completing orientation (ability to test out if prior experience)
- Previous nurse aide, monitor tech, EMT, inpatient unit secretary, or PCT
- Previous experience performing cardiac monitoring
- Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician [CRAT] or equivalent.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Basic Knowledge of ECG interpretation, medical/cardiac terminology preferred.
- Proficiency with navigating electronic monitor system.
