Monitor Technician (BHU) P/T
Position Summary
Sovah Danville is seeking a PRN, Monitor Technician to provide services to ensure a safe environment for psychiatric patients in a locked inpatient unit setting. Performs continual surveillance of behavioral health unit monitors and operates the patient-monitoring system.
Maintains surveillance of behavioral health unit monitors and operates the patient-monitoring system.
Maintains surveillance of dining/day rooms and hallways on Behavioral Health when occupied by patients to assure patient safety in the environment.
Maintains surveillance of patients for suspicious behavior indicating the possibility of self-harm.
Reports incidents, utilizes nursing staff for concerns, discusses recent issues, and any pertinent patient details with the covering/on-coming behavioral health monitor technician.
Recognizes patient behaviors in the dining/dayroom and hallway environment that may result in an unsafe situation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- AHA BLS required.
