Monitor Technician
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor Technicians function as a member of the Patient Care Team. They observe, monitor, and interpret patients’ EKG rhythms per remote viewing station. They assemble and maintain logs and are able to recognize and identify cardiac rhythms, alarms, and emergent situations. They are responsible for assembly, maintenance, cleaning, and tracking of equipment. They assemble and maintain patient charts ensuring documents are filed and scanned into EMR in a timely manner. The Monitor Technician communicates with nursing staff and may run errands for the staff upon request. The position performs duties and tasks related to acceptance, registration, and electronic transfer of patients. The Monitor Technician utilizes fax/copy machines, Hyland scanner, and pneumatic tube system.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 6 or more months experience in customer service and computer knowledge. Able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and computer messaging.

Pay
Expected pay for this position is $18.27 - $20.29/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
Schedule
This is an Hourly position.
