Monitor Tech - NTSICU (Per Diem, NOC)

About the role

Enloe Health is a Level II Trauma Center in Northern California offering a wide range of medical services. The CVU/TCU Monitor Technician position combines roles as a Monitor Technician and Unit Secretary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant observation, recognition, and documentation of cardiac rhythms.
• Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac patterns and report significant findings.
• Assist nursing and medical staff by acting as receptionist, unit liaison, and secretary for the CVU/TCU.
• Facilitate good communication between telemetry patients and other units.
• Be accountable for telemetry patient location when properly informed to facilitate notification of a patient’s rhythm change.

Requirements

• One year experience utilizing clerical, computer, and receptionist skills.
• Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Recognition course or equivalent experience.
• Critical Care Monitor Techs must pass the Basic Arrhythmia Recognition Course within six months of employment, or challenge and pass the final exam to validate equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate 75% competence on proficiency exam during annual evaluation.
