Monitor Tech - House Telemetry, Nights

About the role

This position is at our Augusta facility.

Schedule

Night shift: 7 pm–7 am, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias, including measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations.
• Troubleshoot monitoring problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem.
• Maintain inventories, supplies, hardware, and telemetry transmitters in working condition.
• Report malfunctions promptly as applicable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
• One year of experience as a monitor technician or patient care tech preferred.
• Successful completion of PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment within 30 days of hire required.
• Certification as a Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) through the American Education Certification Association preferred, or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred.
