About the role

The Monitor Technician is responsible for monitoring patients’ cardiac telemetry readings from a centralized location in the unit through a wireless network. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills. Routinely works every other weekend, holidays, overtime, and/or on an on-call/call-back status in their assigned shift.

• Maintain performance skills and competency
• Work every other weekend, holidays, overtime, and/or on-call/call-back status as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or higher education required
• Demonstrated commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct
• Compliance with all policies and procedures
• Attendance at required training
• Immediate reporting of suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer

Requirements

• Completion of dysrhythmia course prior to completion of orientation
• Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider curriculum) maintained per unit-specific needs
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Six (6) months to one (1) year previous experience preferred
