Monitor Tech Extra on Call

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course is required upon hire.

A minimum score of eighty percent (80%) on the SAMC entry-level recognition examination within six months of hire is required.

• Twelve to eighteen months experience in an acute care setting
• or successful completion of a medical terminology course

Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with medical center staff under routine and stressful situations are required.

A current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

Previous 12 lead EKG experience is preferred.
