Monitor Tech CNA Full Time Days
About the role
Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks under direct supervision of a RN. Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect in collaboration with other team members. Assists care team in achieving daily patient and family goals. Provides quality patient care, including comfort, hygiene, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to RN accurately and promptly. Demonstrates effective use of clinical strategies to ensure patient and associate safety. Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the healthcare team. Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed, and reports findings promptly to RN.
Responsibilities
- Maintains inventory and replacement of telemetry supplies, ensuring all transmitter inventory is accounted for each shift.
- Aids in training other nursing support staff, volunteers, students, and other hospital personnel.
- Maintains patient EKG records systematically and ensures all telemetry patients are connected to central monitor with alarms appropriately set.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
