Responsibilities
- Provides continuous surveillance of cardiac telemetry monitors to identify and report significant changes in cardiac rhythms.
- Supports patient safety and clinical communication in centralized monitoring environments.
- Continuously observe and interpret cardiac rhythms from telemetry monitors.
- Record rhythm strips at designated intervals and notify nursing staff of changes.
- Maintain monitor station cleanliness and function; report equipment issues.
- Document rhythm interpretations and maintain accurate logbooks.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with unit nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
- Licenses/Certifications: BCLS – Basic Life Support Upon Hire or within facility-specified time frame (Required)
- Experience: Prior Experience not required
