About the role
Performs necessary clerical duties by computing and maintaining records for a nursing unit. Overall management of the nursing station including answering telephones, answering patient call lights, ordering supplies and obtaining supplies and other duties as needed. The monitor technician observes EKG monitors and reports any abnormalities or unusual rhythms to the charge nurse immediately. Also accepts additional tasks assigned.
Qualifications
- Must complete a supervised orientation and competency test with passing score of 90% at end of orientation and annually thereafter.
