Monitor/Supervisor for Special Education

The Monitor/Supervisor for Special Education reports to the Director of Special Education.

About the role

The position is located at 4041 E. Mannsiding Rd, Clare, MI, within the Clare-Gladwin RESD administrative contract. The work schedule is full-time with a 224-day administrative contract. The anticipated hiring range is $69,692 - $81,991 annually, with placement on the salary schedule determined by qualifications and experience. The starting date is July 1, 2026, or as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating activities and planning to meet State and Federal mandates.
• Aiding the Director of Special Education with data collection, compilation, preparation, and submission of required reporting.
• Providing supervision and guidance to itinerant staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or higher is required, with full approval in at least one area of Special Education.
• A minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in special education is required.
• Must meet the requirements outlined by the Michigan Department of Education, including certification and approval under Rule 340.1772 of the Michigan Special Education Administrative Rules.
• A valid Teaching Certificate or related service provider field with Special Education endorsement and Supervisor's approval.
• A valid Michigan Driver's License.
