Monitor Operations SSOP

About the role

Reporting directly to the Department Manager, the Operations Process Monitor (OPM) assists Operations/QA in ensuring the facility maintains compliance with all HACCP, GMP’s, and SSOP’s.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-flight inspection of assigned area to ensure successful production start-up.
• Complete hourly rounds in production/storage areas, reviewing compliance with regulatory policies and ensuring accurate, timely paperwork.
• Communicate observations in real-time with the management team, ensure corrective actions are taken, aid in developing sustainable preventive measures, and follow up periodically.
• Assist with audits of processes, GMP’s, food safety, and customer complaints.
• Accompany the USDA representative during plant tasks to address identified concerns; document deviations on appropriate forms.
• Assist in completing SSOP forms and Pre-shipment reviews.
• Coach team members on near-miss GMP violations and report deviations to the management team.
• Assist management in ensuring the process operates in accordance with plant and USDA procedures.
• Perform periodic verifications to ensure operational Sanitation compliance.
• Assist the Production Supervisor in verifying associates adhere to the company's GMP policy and procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas to meet good housekeeping standards.
• Assist with effective communication of process changes or deviations.
• Support the management team with additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Additional specialized training in a food environment, verifying product quality.
• 3-5 years of progressive work experience.
