Monitor - Braddock

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) in Braddock, PA is hiring Security Monitors to help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for patients in our Back on Track program.

Pay

$18 per hour plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Competitive shift differential for afternoon and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient movement and maintain detailed logs
• Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
• Serve as the first point of contact for new patients, conducting intakes and orientations
• Administer drug screenings and oversee medication dispensing
• Conduct random room checks
• Transport residents as needed
• Defuse tense situations and handle disputes calmly and effectively
• Handle sensitive information with discretion

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Pass a Department of Corrections clean background check
• Pass a drug screen (company paid)
• Obtain a PDD/TB test (company paid when possible)
• Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record
• Obtain CPR certification shortly after starting
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Sharp attention to detail for monitoring resident behavior and facility movement
• Ability to identify potential risks
• Professional demeanor

Schedule

• Afternoon and overnight shifts available
• Required to remain awake and alert while on duty
• Mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to ensure a safe treatment environment

Work Conditions

• Department of Corrections Center environment
• Stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods; may involve lifting as needed
