Responsibilities
- Safely perform maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant, including mills, conveyors, screens, and similar systems.
- Assist with and perform component replacement and repairs on conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, filter drums, crushers, hydraulic filter presses, and foundry pumps.
- Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance, identifying potential failures, noises, or wear on agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, and gear boxes.
- Perform welding (Stick, TIG) as needed.
- Maintain work orders, a clean and safe work area, and conduct work area inspections.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience in mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints.
- Must have completed academic and competencies required (including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees) and demonstrate required mechanical aptitude.
- Selected candidate must pass a written assessment based on technical skills, abilities, academic knowledge, and safety.
- Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam and all required training/testing.
- Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is $24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
