About the role
Universal Diagnostics (UDx) is seeking a Molecular Supervisor to join our Lab Operations Team in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day molecular laboratory operations while providing leadership and operational oversight for workflow execution, study support, and laboratory personnel.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily molecular laboratory operations and study execution activities
- Supervise and support Molecular Technologists and laboratory staff during workflow execution
- Coordinate laboratory staffing, scheduling, and operational workflow planning activities
- Perform and support end-to-end NGS workflows including plasma processing, cfDNA extraction, library preparation, amplification, and sequencing support activities
- Ensure laboratory reagents, consumables, equipment, and resources are available to support execution timelines
- Monitor workflow performance and assist with identifying operational risks, bottlenecks, and process improvement opportunities
- Troubleshoot workflow, operational, and equipment-related issues during study execution
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in LIMS and laboratory records
- Ensure workflows are performed according to SOPs, batch records, and laboratory quality requirements
- Support onboarding, training, and performance development of Molecular Technologists and laboratory staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support laboratory execution and operational readiness
- Support laboratory quality initiatives, deviation investigations, corrective actions, and inspection readiness activities
- Adhere to laboratory safety policies and quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry or a related field, with hands-on experience in a molecular laboratory
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience supporting NGS laboratory operations, workflow coordination, staff training, and study execution activities
- Strong leadership, organizational, troubleshooting, and workflow coordination skills in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Experience supporting laboratory staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, training, and operational execution activities within molecular laboratory workflows
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience working in a CLIA or CAP high-complexity laboratory required
