About the role

Msi Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a full-time Mold Maker on 2nd shift to create and make tooling to match part drawings.

Responsibilities

• Apply manufacturing skills to complete various mold-making projects
• Operate equipment such as surface grinder, manual mill, drill press, and spotting press
• Use hand, electronic, and pneumatic tooling to perform tasks
• Read blueprints and use ingenuity to finish mold-making projects
• Coordinate with assembly team members and attend company meetings

Requirements

• 1+ years of industry experience
• Journeyman toolmaker education
• Ability to read blueprints
• Physical demands of the position
• Mold-making experience is ideal

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent problem solver
• Keeps composure in stressful situations
