About the role

MSI Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking to hire a full-time Mold Maker on 2nd shift to create and make tooling to match part drawings. This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and make tooling to match part drawings.
• Operate equipment including a surface grinder, manual mill, drill press, and spotting press.
• Use hand, electronic, and pneumatic tooling to complete mold-making projects.
• Read blueprints and apply mechanical and electrical knowledge to assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Coordinate with the assembly team and attend company meetings to support seamless manufacturing projects.
• Apply ingenuity to accurately and efficiently finish mold-making projects.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience.
• Journeyman toolmaker education.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position.
• Mold-making experience is ideal.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to keep composure in stressful situations.
