Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge in trouble shooting molding machines, and processes.
- Notifies Supervisor and/or Mold Toolmaker if equipment is not operating properly.
- Able to get information for different types of materials and molding conditions.
- Responsible for all cold and restarts of the molding machines.
- Make sure parts are to specification.
- Make sure all PM’s on the running machine is done for every shift.
- Make sure all changes are documented.
- Ensures work area, machine, tooling and parts are neat and organized.
- Keep insert inventory up to date and notify supervisor when running low.
- Complete Mold repair work order sheets are filled out when tool work is needed and notifying the supervisor.
- Demonstrates the ability to work in a steady, professional manner with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 years of industrial injection molding experience is required
- Medical molding device experience preferred
- Must know the machine controllers, different parts to injection molding machine, different tool types and their components.
- Must know tooling terminologies.
- Basic understanding in reading blue prints and using different measuring devices.
- Must know the machines auxiliary equipment and good working knowledge of robots.
- Strong knowledge in setting and pulling tools.
- Must have knowledge of scientific molding and process optimization.
- Basic knowledge of different types of materials and molding conditions.
- Must be able to work process on injection molding machines.
- Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
- Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
- Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
