Responsibilities
- Adjust, operate, and monitor machine performance, meeting cycle time rates, ensuring conformance to specifications, and maintaining documentation logs.
- Check production processes against standard documentation, including all support equipment such as dryers, welders, drilling/cutting tools, grinders, etc.
- Follow machine start-up/shut down procedures as specified, including opening/closing hopper throat valve, turning on/off heating and cooling systems, extending/retracting carriage, purging machine, and ensuring machines, secondary/support equipment, and areas around them are clean and free of all debris after each setup is completed.
- Perform set-ups/troubleshooting for injection molding, including purging material, removing and installing molds, setting controls to regulate press operation, entering commands to retrieve or input computerized machine controls for injection molding presses, verifying settings match documented processes, and installing auxiliary equipment such as chillers, heaters, and secondary operation equipment such as sonic welders, drills, grinders, and hand load removal tools.
- Load programs or install/repair End of Arm Tools (EOAT) as well as troubleshoot robotic/automation systems.
- Troubleshoot cause of operating errors and determine appropriate resolution.
- Visually inspect parts and assist quality technicians with part inspection in accordance with established quality plans as needed.
- Accurately use measurement tools such as micrometers, verniers, height gage, bore gage, and attribute style gages.
- Communicate effectively with engineering, supervision, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
- Perform direct manufacturing operations as needed along with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience working in a technical role in an Injection Molding environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Any injection molding certifications are preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Walk, bend, and perform basic motor skills.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Follow ergonomically correct postures for bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Shift/Schedule
6:00am - 2:00pm Monday - Friday

Pay
The hourly pay for this role is: $28.00-$30.00 per hour DOE.
Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training.
Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
