ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Makes sure associates follow production requirements.
- Holds daily shift meetings with Area Leaders to discuss daily activities.
- Ensures associates comply with Safety rules.
- Verifies schedules and communicates with Molding scheduler if there are any issues.
- Monitors tool changeovers and ensures they are completed on time.
- Audits operators' work and PLEX monitors to maintain quality standards.
- Maintains cleanliness of the worksite.
- Solves product problems and implements corrective actions.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Communicates daily activities to manager and takes ownership of problems.
- Performs necessary process and equipment adjustments.
- Completes required forms and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Trains associates in machine processes and problem solving.
- Notifies responsible departments about potential safety, quality, and equipment issues.
- Maintains and tracks area performance against targets.
- Promotes positive working relationships with associates.
- Adapts to changing conditions and environments.
- Makes decisions independently with minimal guidance.
- Communicates effectively with other shifts and departments to resolve manufacturing issues.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Coaches Area Leaders and associates to foster a positive work environment.
- Repairs minor machine problems and tracks larger repairs.
- Trains associates in machine processes and problem solving.
- Notifies responsible departments about potential safety, quality, and equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or previous supervisory experience preferred.
- 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting (Molding environment preferred).
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Knowledge of blueprints and SPC.
- Some computer experience helpful (preferably Microsoft Office).
- Product knowledge or similar experience helpful.
