Molding Operator - 7AM - 7 PM 3-2-2-3 Schedule (Urgent Need)

12-month contract position in Sumter, South Carolina. Pay rate: $15.50 per hour.

Schedule

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Rotating schedule: 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. Weekends included.

Responsibilities

• Stack boxes and totes, bag material, and print labels.
• Operate injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with molded components; inspect components and request technical support to maintain part quality.
• Perform minor maintenance activities on assigned presses.
• Collaborate with molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and call-outs.
• Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to produce parts that meet quality specifications at rated output.
• Place surplus molded components into inventory.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all products produced in the department, raw materials required, and product quality specifications.
• Keep machinery, work area, and floors neat and orderly; comply with GMP requirements.
• Conduct product inspections and make appropriate quality decisions.
• Work effectively in a team with limited supervision.
• Follow all relevant controlled documents (Work Instructions, Forms, etc.), preventative maintenance task lists, and equipment manuals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Pass an eye exam.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, especially with injection molding presses (both electric and hydraulic).
