Molding Operator - 7 PM to 7 AM 3-2-2-3

12-month contract position located in Sumter, South Carolina.

About the role

Operate injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with molded components, including inspection of components and requesting technical support to maintain part quality. Conduct minor maintenance activities on assigned presses and work with other molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Stack boxes and totes, bag material, and print labels
• Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to manufacture product that conforms to quality specifications at the rated output
• Operate injection molds/presses and place surplus molded components into inventory
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all products produced in the department, raw materials required, and product quality specifications
• Keep machinery, work area, and floors neat and orderly; comply with GMP requirements
• Perform thorough product inspections and make appropriate decisions relative to product quality requirements
• Work effectively in a team with limited supervision
• Familiarize with all relevant controlled documents (Work Instructions, Forms, etc.), preventative maintenance task lists, and equipment manuals pertaining to operation of all equipment in the cell

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1–2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Steel toe or composite shoes required
• Pass an eye exam

Pay

$16.49 per hour

Schedule

7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3-2-2-3 rotation (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off), including weekends.
