The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Molding Operator 2nd Shift to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Mesa, AZ. Located 25 minutes from Phoenix, AZ.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Read and understand job layouts, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Work from written and verbal job instructions on operations.
  • Aid in KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost) as part of the production team.
  • Participate and advocate for Lean and 5S culture across the company.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections and work with team members to ensure total quality.
  • Provide feedback to planning and engineering to optimize productivity.
  • Aid in translation services for team members when required.
  • Ensure correct usage of gaging, hand measuring tools, and metrology equipment to deliver high-quality components.
  • Support preventative maintenance of equipment and report issues to production supervisor.
  • Provide hourly production stats to production supervisor and implement quick corrective actions.

The Person

  • General knowledge of workmanship standards, surface finish, and flash.
  • Proficiency in measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with molding press operations.
  • Familiarity with 5S and organization concepts.
  • Strong time management skills, both self-directed and with team members.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work on a busy manufacturing floor.

Education Experience/Requirements

Less than 2 years of molding press experience and related production equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift no more than 55 lbs.
