Molding - Material Handler (B Shift)

About the role

The Material Handler reports to the Molding Shift Supervisor and is responsible for delivering packing supplies to the Molding production floor from the Warehouse, and delivering molded skids to the Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Stack, wrap, and deliver completed molded skids, ensuring boxes are placed on the skid according to packing specifications.
• Tightly wrap skids to properly secure boxes.
• Create Pallet ID for all skids of products produced.
• Perform Molding and IML production MP transaction scanning.
• Deliver wrapped skids to the warehouse for storage using an electric pallet jack.
• Assist in transporting products for QC to and from the Warehouse.
• Maintain records of pallet IDs created during MP transactions for tracking purposes.
• Replenish all packing supplies at scheduled machines following IPS and sign off on line clearance sheets.
• Replenish empty skids on the production floor.
• Remove broken or damaged skids to the warehouse.
• Replenish the tape machine when empty.
• Keep records of corrugates, liner bags, and U boards brought to the production floor for traceability.
• Perform line clearance during product changes.
• Collect purge, drool, and scrap bags from the production floor and place them in blue bins as needed.
• Clear scrap products around the machine area and place them into scrap bins.
• Recharge the battery of the electric pallet jack when low.
• Perform daily checks on the pallet jack, keep records, and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience handling an electric pallet jack is an asset.
• Certified in operating a walkie pallet jack.
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills.

Skills

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to perform tasks involving reaching above and below shoulder height, kneeling, bending, and repetitive movements such as gripping, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
