Molding - Material Handler (B Shift, 7am - 7pm)

About the role

The Material Handler reports to the Molding Shift Supervisor and is responsible for delivering packing supplies to the Molding production floor from the Warehouse, and delivering molded skids to the Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Stack, wrap, and deliver completed molded skids, ensuring boxes are placed on the skid as per packing specifications
• Tightly wrap the skid so that the boxes are properly secured
• Create Pallet ID for all skids of products produced
• Perform Molding and IML production MP transaction scanning
• Deliver the wrapped skid to the warehouse for storage using an electric pallet jack
• Assist in transporting products for QC to and from the Warehouse
• Keep records of pallet IDs created during MP transactions for tracking purposes
• Replenish all packing supplies at scheduled machines by following IPS at the machine and sign off line clearance sheet
• Replenish empty skids on the production floor
• Remove broken or damaged skids to the warehouse
• Replenish the tape machine when empty
• Keep records of corrugates, liner bags, and U boards brought to the production floor for traceability
• Responsible for Line Clearance during product change
• Collect purge and drool during the shift, as well as scrap bags from the production floor, and place them in blue bins as needed
• Clear any scrap products lying around the machine area and place them into scrap bins
• Recharge the battery of the electric pallet jack when low
• Perform daily checks on the pallet jack, keep records, and report any issues to the supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience handling an electric pallet jack is an asset
• Certified in operating a walkie pallet jack
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder height, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive movements such as gripping, grasping, pushing, and pulling
