About the role
We are looking for the right individual to join our team as a Molding Inspector, on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30pm-10:30pm. This exciting role involves the thorough inspection of molded parts to ensure they meet established quality standards, as well as running a molding machine on occasion.
Responsibilities
- Working under the general direction of the department supervisor and/or group lead with a minimum of supervision following processes and procedures.
- Visually and dimensionally inspecting products to ensure they meet established quality standards. This involves checking for defects like surface blemishes, incorrect dimensions or inconsistencies by working from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instructions, work orders, and process sheets.
- Recording inspection results on appropriate forms and/or in MeasurLink.
- Reporting defective materials, scrap, quality problems, or any other unusual condition or circumstance to a technician and/or supervisor.
- Operating injection molding machines occasionally.
- Filling machine hoppers and operating the blending machine to combine raw pellets.
Requirements
- A high school degree or GED
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience and/or training
- Minimum of 1 year inspection experience
- Knowledge of and ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to work well within a team or independently and a demonstrated initiative to drive for results
Qualifications
