Molder Packer- Auto - 1st Shift, 7a-3p

About the role

Vestcom Business unit of Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Molder/Packer to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate molding/extrusion machines, ensure product quality, and perform related duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding/extrusion machines for maximum production and quality
• Unjams and resets secondary equipment as necessary, following proper safety procedures
• Makes boxes for outgoing products
• Visually inspect products
• Informs Team Leader or Process Technician of recurring problems with equipment
• Ensures good housekeeping to include grinding excess material, sweeping floor and organizing packaging material needed at the workstation
• Verifies counts, weights, and quality of product being packed
• Adds water as required to ensure proper packaging of certain products
• Heat seals as needed
• Segregates bad products and informs Team Leader/Process Technician of any quality trends or concerns
• Keeps track of machine problems in the paperwork/forms provided
• Follows established work instructions, policies and procedures
• Covers breaks as needed throughout the shift
• Supports safety efforts on the shift
• Supports housekeeping for the Production floor as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or (GED)
• One to three months of related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Pay

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is on 1st Shift, 7AM-3PM; occasional overtime as needed.
